Drummer Travis Barker paid $9.5 million, according to the Los Angeles Times, to buy a newly built, 10,198-square-foot house in Calabasas, California.

Formerly with Blink-182 and now in a new band, +44, Barker, 31, had listed the three-story house in Bel-Air, at 2180 Stratford Circle, last summer for $8.5 million, as the Times had reported in July. Built in 2003, the eight-bedroom Bel-Air house had been the site of Barker’s 2005-2006 MTV reality series, “Meet the Barkers,” which had featured him and his now-estranged wife, 1996 Miss USA and actress Shanna Moakler.

Barker had bought the Bel-Air house for $6.2 million in September 2004 through his Cookie Trust, according to public records. Features in the Bel-Air house, whose asking price Barker later reduced to $8 million, include 10 full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms, an elevator, garages for 10-plus cars, a large grass yard, a solar-heated pool, a spa, a state-of-the-art kitchen, a large family room, a formal dining room, an office, a wine cellar, a media room, a playroom, an exercise room, a sauna, and a master suite with his and hers bathrooms, fireplaces and closets, according to listing information. The house sits on almost an acre, according to public records. Check out a multitude of pictures of the Bel-Air house here. In Calabasas, Barker’s new, seven-bedroom house, at 25232 Prado del Grandioso, had been listed for $9,975,000 and is in the Estates at the Oaks neighborhood, according to listing information. Located on a 1.5-acre lot, the one-story house in Calabasas has seven and a half baths, a guest house, a home theater, a game room, a study, a gourmet kitchen/great room, inlaid stone floors, Venetian plaster walls, hand-carved moldings, imported granite and marble counters, vaulted and barreled ceilings, and a refrigerated wine cellar, according to listing information. Outdoor features include a nearly 2,000-square-foot entertaining pavilion with a barbecue center, an adjoining mosaic pool, a spa, rolling lawns and fountains. The house is behind guarded gates and is on a quiet cul-de-sac, according to listing information.
