Andy Garcia, who came from Cuba as a young boy in 1961, remembers his first home in Miami clearly: one-bedroom efficiency apartment, in what was then down-at-the-heels Miami Beach.
Today Andy Garcia’s lives in this Key Biscayne house, custom designed in 1999 to look as if it was built in the 1920’s or 30’s. It is based on the Cuba of his memories, dreams and research, with a little luxury twist of course. It sits on the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Reserve with a boat dock and a private yacht (not pictured on the satellite map).
The airy great room can accommodate Cuban culture in the form of jam sessions with Mr. Garcia’s musician friends or dinner for 12.
