Charlize Theron, a South African actress, film producer and former fashion model, purchased this property in 2004 through her Gerta Maritz Trust for $3,000,000, according to public records.

She became the first South African to win an Academy Award in a major acting category. She received another ‘Academy Award’ nomination for her performance in North Country. She is well known for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos in the film Monster.
