Jason Giambi, baseball’s likable reformed Bad Boy has a career that has jumped all over the map from the Yankees to Oakland to Colorado to Cleavland to…where does he even play now? Well the 120 Million dollar contract man just sold his Upper East Side Condo for 6.8 million dollars!…more than twice what he paid for the 2,874 square foot sky rise back in 2002! Apparently the man knows how to make a home run AND make money!
Jason Giambi was in the news in the early 2000′s for his “party like a rock star behavior” and excessive use of steroids. He was later lauded from being scorned to loved after admitting his steroid use before he was accused during the 2003 baseball season. Giambi is now 3 years into sobriety and has been married for 11 years and has a 1 year old daughter. His next step is managing a professional baseball team!…but before that happened, baseball’s veteran needed to unload this gorgeous home located at 188 East 78th Street, since he currently plays for the Cleveland Indians. This chic NYC party pad exudes the type of luxury and class that several million dollars can buy.
The condo is on the 24th floor of the Davis Development Holdings’ Empire Condominiums. Giambi also picked up not one but two wine cellar units for $5000 each!…they were reportedly $1,250 per square foot-just to house his wine collection!…and yes the wine cellars were included in the total sales price.

The master bedroom and the bathroom have Central Park Views and this home is complete with a maid’s room, three bedrooms and a library. What was he reading?

However, what is to die for is the galley style kitchen with bullnose granite counter tops.

Giambi is pictured here with his wife Kristin while he was still with the New York Yankee’s!
