Osama bin Laden is dead, according to reports. The 54-year-old founder and leader of the Al-Qaeda was reportedly captured and killed in a mansion in Abbottābad, about 80 miles north of Islamabad, Pakistan.
This historic event comes 10 years after the tragic September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. As a result of a secret U.S. operation directed by President Barack Obama, the judgement day is here, says the American President.
The mansion where bin Laden was hiding out was estimated to be worth $1,000,000 and had no internet or phone service. The neighbors reported that a man his height and build was spotted in the area. The news reports that the mansion attracted attention because of the unusually high 12 to 18 foot walls and heavy security surrounding the compound. It was also roughly 70% larger than the rest of the properties in the neighborhood, all signs which the secret intelligence was looking for during their covert op.
