Billy Connolly’s birth chart

Growth, travel and ideas bigger than daily life are where Billy Connolly's Sagittarius Sun finds purpose, and their energy tends to lift the moment there is somewhere new to go. Familiarity is what wears on this placement. A few months into any routine, however good it is, restlessness usually sets in.

The Moon in Gemini runs its daily habits on conversation and mental stimulation, and Billy is likely to settle by talking a worry through rather than sitting with it quietly. A day with no one to talk to can leave them restless. The habit is to message a friend the moment something comes to mind, before deciding what to think about it.

With Mercury in Scorpio, Billy tends to think in layers, looking for what is not being said as much as what is spoken aloud. Once they have decided to speak they can be very direct, and until then, silent. The tension is suspecting a hidden motive where there is only an ordinary one.

Venus in Sagittarius loves with enthusiasm and a need for shared adventure, and Billy probably values a partner who gives them room to roam. When things get serious, this placement can confuse freedom with distance. The pattern with this Venus is to plan the next trip together before settling into the current one.

In Billy's chart, Mars in Scorpio acts with focus and intensity, and its anger, when it surfaces, tends to be controlled, cutting and hard to forget. The risk with this Mars is holding on to a grievance well past its useful life. A calm exterior gives little warning before a sharp response.

For Billy, Jupiter in Cancer means growing by nurturing others and building a home that people want to return to. The excess can be protecting loved ones past the point they need it. Generosity here takes the form of home-cooked meals, open doors and an instinct to take in anyone who needs somewhere to land.

Saturn in Gemini builds discipline around clear expression, and it often begins with doubt about whether an idea is good enough to say out loud. For Billy that would mean overpreparing before speaking or writing anything. Once the self-consciousness eases, the result can be someone unusually precise and credible with words.

Uranus in Gemini is shared by Billy and many people born in the same few years. These are people who come of age alongside a revolution in communication, fluent in tools older generations learned later in life. The personal version is a restless need for new information.

A whole generation has Neptune in Libra, Billy among them. It idealises romantic partnership, often shaped by images of love on screen that outpace real relationships. The personal echo is a dreamy standard for what a relationship should feel like.

Pluto in Leo is held by a whole generation, one that transforms ideas of individual power, leadership and fame. At a personal scale, for Billy, it can be a charged relationship with authority and with who gets to hold the spotlight.
