Jack Ma’s birth chart

A Virgo Sun finds purpose in being useful and doing a job properly, and Jack Ma's energy tends to stay steady as long as there is a task worth doing well. Rest is the hard part, because it can feel undeserved until everything is fixed. Typically a piece of work is still being adjusted long after everyone else would call it finished.

Born before about 00:20: Moon in Libra

A Libra Moon needs harmony in the immediate surroundings to feel settled day to day, and a tense conversation nearby can throw off Jack Ma's whole afternoon. Comfort comes from pleasant company and pleasant spaces. The habit to watch is smoothing things over before they have worked out what they want.

Born after about 00:20: Moon in Scorpio

For Jack Ma, the Moon in Scorpio means emotional needs that run deep and private, and a preference for managing a hard feeling alone over explaining it while it is still raw. Trust builds slowly and is rarely given back once broken. Even among the people closest to them, this Moon is likely to need real privacy.

For Jack Ma, Mercury in Virgo points to thinking that is precise and attentive to detail, and to clear communication, because the facts have usually been checked first. The catch is fixating on a small error and losing sight of the larger point. This is the placement that edits a message three times before sending something everyone else would have sent in one go.

Venus in Leo loves generously and openly, and values being someone's clear favourite above almost anything else on offer. For Jack Ma, the tension this suggests is needing steady reassurance of still being adored. Their gestures tend to be grand and thoughtful, and it can sting when those go unnoticed.

Mars in Cancer acts to protect the people and things that matter, and its anger is usually about feeling hurt more than feeling wronged. The habit to watch, for Jack Ma, may be going quiet or indirect instead of naming the upset. Other people tend to notice a shift of mood and take a while to trace it back to its cause.

In Jack Ma's chart, Jupiter in Taurus grows through patience, and what it builds tends to come together slowly and steadily rather than in one leap. Taken too far, that can become excess: holding on to more comfort or more stuff than serves them. They are probably generous with food, gifts and shared pleasures, and now and then generosity tips into indulgence.

Saturn in Pisces builds discipline around boundaries, and it usually starts from a habit of carrying feelings that belong to other people. For Jack Ma, the doubt is likely to take the form of guilt for protecting their own time and energy. What this Saturn works towards is a quiet, mature compassion, once it is clear that a boundary and a closed heart are not the same thing.

Uranus takes about seven years to cross a sign, so in Jack Ma's chart Uranus in Virgo describes an age group as much as a single person. It is a generation that changes how work and daily routine are done, through new methods and new technology. In one person it can be an instinct to question inherited routines.

Neptune in Scorpio marks a long season that Jack Ma shares with many people of a similar age. Its imagination is drawn to the hidden, the taboo and the transformative, with a wider cultural fascination for secrets and endings. In an individual that can be a pull towards mystery for its own sake.

Pluto in Virgo is shared by Jack Ma and many people born in the same span of years. That generation lives through deep change in work, in how services are organised, and in daily life itself. In one person that can be intensity around control, order and how much any one system can carry.
