Veteran actor Bruce Willis has sold his Beverly Hills mansion for $15.5 million.
Built in 1928, the sprawling Spanish-inspired mansion was purchased by Willis from American film producer Alan Ladd Jr. for $9 million in 2004. Willis put up the Beverly Hills bungalow for sale at $22 million in May 2013 but ended up lowering the price to $20 million two months later. The offer went on to languish in the real estate market until Willis was forced to lower the price to the aforementioned $15.5 million to make the sale. Branden Williams and Rayni Romito of Hilton & Hyland/Christie’s International Real Estate finalized the deal.
The Spanish-style hacienda is a veritable paradise spanning 10,379 square feet of interior space, which includes 11 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The whole property is secured within sturdy walls and a large gate. Enter the premises and you get to behold a beautiful walkway surrounded by regularly-maintained grass and an acre of landscaped grounds. This property space is offset by an arched porte-cochere perfect for hosting large parties. Walk further and you eventually arrive at a large inner courtyard with an ancient-looking fountain at the middle. At the main site are two kitchens, one special and the other basic, with the latter also serving as a secondary dining area. Adjacent to the kitchens is a big living room furnished with beamed ceilings, posh flooring, and several fireplaces. It’s a perfect place for inviting guests over for an intimate get-together. Further amenities include a swimming pool, a guest house, and a tennis court.

Meanwhile, the Die Hard star is now living with his wife, model Emma Heming, and their two daughters, Mabel Ray and Evelyn Penn, in a Central Park West apartment in New York. Willis bought the property for $8.695 million from U2 bassist Adam Clayton in February 2013. The property is a 1931 Art Deco structure designed by architect Emory Rot and is part of the famed El Dorado building, a complex where many celebrities such as U2 vocalist Bono and veteran actor Alec Baldwin used to reside. The property has three bedrooms and four bathrooms, which should provide a big, comfortable living space for Willis and his family. There’s no shortage of conveniences and luxuries either, what with the property housing a basketball court, a gym, and a 38-foot formal gallery. Better yet, all three bedrooms and the master suite offer a nice view of Central Park and its verdant greens.
Willis owns a number of other properties, including a ranch in Montana, a beach house on Parrot Cay in the Turks and Caicos islands, and multiple holdings in Sun Valley, Idaho. His Idaho home, which he listed at $15 million in 2011, is now being sold for almost half the price at $8.8 million.
