Viggo Mortensen’s birth chart

With the Sun in Libra, Viggo Mortensen's vitality is likely to rise in good company, and purpose to feel real when they are creating balance or beauty with other people. The risk is losing their own direction while managing everyone else's. Deciding alone is probably harder for them than deciding with a second opinion in the room.

An Aquarius Moon processes daily feelings by stepping back and thinking them through rather than sitting inside them, and Viggo is likely to need a degree of independence built into any close relationship. The temptation is to analyse a feeling instead of simply having it. Even after a good day with people, this Moon needs time alone to recover.

With Mercury in Scorpio, Viggo tends to think in layers, looking for what is not being said as much as what is spoken aloud. Once they have decided to speak they can be very direct, and until then, silent. The tension is suspecting a hidden motive where there is only an ordinary one.

Venus in Libra loves with an instinct for balance and partnership, and Viggo probably values harmony, fairness and someone who makes an effort to look good together. The risk with this Venus is staying in a relationship for the sake of the pairing itself. Viggo may give up a personal preference before anyone has even asked.

With Mars in Gemini, Viggo is likely to act through words, argument and quick manoeuvring rather than force, and anger to come out sharp and verbal. Arguments can be won without the conflict underneath ever being resolved. A disagreement can still be under debate long after the other person just wants it to end.

Jupiter in Scorpio grows by facing what is difficult rather than avoiding it, even when that is the harder road at the time. The overreach, for Viggo, may be an intensity that turns a manageable situation into an all-consuming one. The resilience tends to be noticed only after the hard part is over.

Saturn in Sagittarius builds discipline around belief and meaning, testing a big idea hard before committing to it. In front of people who might challenge a conviction, Viggo is likely to hedge. Over time, someone with this Saturn often becomes a credible voice on the very questions they once felt they had no right to answer.

Viggo shares Uranus in Leo with a generation, one that redefines self-expression and individuality, often through forms of creativity and visibility that were not available before. Closer to home, it suggests being comfortable with being seen in ways older relatives find unfamiliar.

Neptune in Scorpio marks a long season that Viggo shares with many people of a similar age. Its imagination is drawn to the hidden, the taboo and the transformative, with a wider cultural fascination for secrets and endings. In an individual that can be a pull towards mystery for its own sake.

Pluto in Virgo is shared by Viggo and many people born in the same span of years. That generation lives through deep change in work, in how services are organised, and in daily life itself. In one person that can be intensity around control, order and how much any one system can carry.
