Looking for things to do in LA this Fall? Red Bull Sound Select just made November in Los Angeles a whole lotta fun by launching 30 Days in LA, a month-long music event that will showcase 60 musical artists from a wide variety of genres at 30 venues across Southern California.
Each night will be a unique experience as this LA takeover will assign a specific ensemble of performers at a corresponding venue from November 1-30. 30 Days in LA will feature musical performers handpicked by trusted local tastemakers in music such as LA public radio station KCRW, Hollywood record store Amoeba, Souls in Action, and Wavelength Music.
Red Bull Sound Select has employed methodical measures to come up with the most comprehensive list of artists, ensuring that the event will cover a wide spectrum of musical genres, from indie-pop and electronica to punk rock and rap, as well as other musical offerings that defy genre categorization. The result: a genre-encompassing lineup boasting names such as Cut Copy, Bad Religion, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Warpaint, Chance the Rapper, and Dum Dum Girls. The 30 venues picked for the event are as varied as can be, which can be attributed to how each location was picked according to how it’s perfectly tailored for each performer. Some of the most popular venues scheduled to host shows include the Roxy, the Mayan Theatre, El Rey Theatre, and more.
Red Bull’s 30 Days In LA Schedule & Line-up:
Kicking off the event on the first day of November are performances by electronic-indie darlings Cut Copy, Gemini Band, and Wrestlers at the Luxe City Center Hotel Parking Lot. If you prefer a live musical experience infused with a smoky psychrock vibe, mark your calendar for November 7 so you can catch Warpaint, Son of Stan, and Avid Dancer at the Echoplex. Those in the mood for some hard-hitting punk rock might want to catch Bad Religion, The Scandals, and BABY BABY at The Mayan on November 9. For a heady stew of lo-fi and indie pop, watching the Tapioca and the Flea, Lowell at The Well and the Dum Dum Girls on November 16 should do the trick. As has been established, there’s plenty for everybody as all musical tastes have been taken into account during the curation process.
What 30 Days in LA offers is not limited to music alone. To celebrate the world of disco on wheels (yes, you read that right), you can head on over to the Moonlight Rollerway on November 19 for the Not Your Mama’s Roller Disco event. Or perhaps you can go to the Red Bull Studios on November 26 for a night of barbecue while enjoying a live performance by Warm Brew.
